The University of Roehampton is proud to offer the University of Roehampton Care Leaver* Bursary.
The Bursary is worth:
- £2,000 per year of study to Care Leavers enrolling on Undergraduate programmes at Roehampton, for up to four years of study.
- 52 weeks of accommodation at the cost of a 38 week contract, where on campus accommodation is required.
Key information and Terms
The bursaries will be awarded to students who meet all of the following criteria:
- Care Leavers
- Undergraduate students
- Home students (currently residing in the UK and have a UK postcode)
Receipt of this bursary in Years 2, 3 (and 4) is dependent upon students passing the previous academic year. Four years of funding will be provided to students who enrol on Extended Degree programmes.
Receipt of this bursary can be combined with any other UG scholarship or bursary.
If the successful applicant does not require on campus accommodation, then this part of the bursary can be waived. No additional financial support will be provided in place of this.
The bursary will be paid in two instalments, in early October and early February.
The bursary recipient will not be required to reapply to the bursary for each year of undergraduate study.
The scheme will apply for new entrants from September 2020 entry and will not be retrospectively offered to continuing students, who will continue to be eligible for the amounts of support offered historically.
To be eligible for this bursary you will need to meet all of the above criteria. To apply for the bursary you will need to declare yourself as a Care Leaver when you apply for Government Student Finance.
