The Summer Graduation ceremonies have been postponed.

As you approach the end of your studies, we know you will be keen to hear about plans for your graduation ceremony. You will be aware that the University is following UK Government advice about restrictions on events and mass gatherings, and while our planned ceremonies on 23 and 24 July are a while off, after careful consideration we feel it is too much of a risk to continue planning for these dates. We have therefore taken the difficult decision to postpone the summer ceremonies.

We know that this must come as a big disappointment for many of you as you have worked hard to reach the end of your programme, but please be assured that we promise to celebrate with you when we are able. We are currently in discussions to identify suitable dates either later in 2020 or in 2021. As soon as these dates are confirmed, we will let you know.

Please be advised that this delay will not impact the delivery of your degree certificate. All students who are graduating this year will receive their transcript and certificate in the post between August and September. For international students, if your visa is due to expire before the date of your new ceremony, you and your guests will still be able to apply for a visa to attend your graduation by applying through your own government or embassy once you receive your invitation to the ceremony.

As a graduate of the University of Roehampton you are welcomed into our larger community as one of our alumni. View more information regarding Roehampton Alumni and the associated benefits.

Receiving your Certificate

Certificates are not linked to a particular graduation ceremony but to University Awards and Progression Boards. The certificates are produced on a timetable depending when a student is awarded. It is therefore very important that your permanent address is kept up to date at all times of the year using the online facility.

Certificates are produced between six and eight weeks after each Board. For Roehampton Online students, your certificate will be posted by your Student Support Team. For further information please contact them on For enquiries from campus based students, please email
